Amanda at The Homely Hours has a list of Advent hymns and carols for each day of the season. It's a great compilation, and a timely reminder for us to keep the spirit of the season.
There is so much beloved Advent music. I doubt many who know it would be eager to toss it aside--even for a few extra weeks of Christmas carols.
Hi Claudio, This is Amanda from the Homely Hours. Thanks for sharing my post! I'm commenting here because I couldn't find an email address for you. I wanted to say that I was fascinated by your article about Women in the Liturgical Movement in the Liturgical Arts Journal (which I saw because of Leila Lawler's post on Like Mother, Like Daughter). Of the books you listed in that post, which would you say would be the most important to buy? I'm interested in There Were Also Many Women There, but would you say it's worth the cost? I already have the Mary Reed Newland and plan to buy Around the Year with the Von Trapps. I also, because I read To Dance with God by Gertrud Nelson, became interested in Therese Mueller. I have her little booklet Our Children's Year of Grace. You can email at thehomelyhours@gmail.com if that is convenient. Thanks!
